The Pyramid Model is an evidence-based prevention/intervention framework created to prevent challenging behavior and promote healthy social and emotional development in young children, from birth through first grade.
This course is a state approved Pyramid Model training using the national BIRTH to FIVE e-modules with Wisconsin based Pyramid Model Reflective Coaches. This course meets the 24 hour social and emotional training requirement for YoungStar. Course content addresses the theory and evidenced based practices that enhance social and emotional competence of children from Birth to 6 years. This content closely matches content in Wisconsin’s Pyramid Model 8 Part Series. Participants register for this course with Wisconsin Pyramid Model Reflective Coaches who provide participants with access codes to engage with the National Pyramid Model Consortium BIRTH TO FIVE e-Modules. Reflective Coaches provide participants with reflective prompts/activities and additional resources to guide participants in intentional planning and implementation of practices as well as reflection on the effect of implementation. This course is offered as part of the Wisconsin Pyramid Model collaboration with the National Pyramid Model Consortium.
