FREE Programs to all families
Our programs are fun – but they also build strong families. We know that children thrive when their families learn about parenting as children grow, connect with others, understand feelings, build inner strength, and know where to find help. At our group programs, you’ll meet other adults, get parenting tips, play with your child, and laugh!
Muscles in Motion
A shared time for parents, grandparents, or caregivers to participate with their toddler or preschooler in open-ended physical activities. Running, tossing, and bouncing with a guided activity to promote large motor development.
Play Groups
Play Group is a shared time for parents and their children, ages birth to five years of age. Join us for one of our Play Groups to enjoy open-ended playtime, a simple art activity, circle and story time and a snack.
Parent Connection
Moms, dads, grandparents or caregivers who are looking for a place to unwind and share the joys and challenges of parenting with other parents. Connect over coffee and conversation while toddlers and preschoolers play in our supervised playroom.
Hmong Community Play Day
Come join The Parenting Place for an evening of fun while we embrace our differences and learn from one another. Parent Educator Rose Vang is available to interpret for Hmong-speaking individuals.
Spanish Community Play Days/ Día De Juego Comunitario Español
Come join The Parenting Place for days of fun in Sparta and La Crosse while we embrace our differences and learn from one another. An interpreter will be present for Spanish-speaking individuals.
Sparta Family Fun Night
Join us for an evening of fun! We will have snacks, activities for the whole family, and space to play and connect with other families.
Infant Massage
Come and meet other parents and learn how to massage your infant! This 5-week course will meet every Thursday morning in February. Registration is required.
